Frequently Asked Questions

Will Martial Arts make my kid violent?
No way! In fact, martial arts makes kids calmer and more respectful than ever. Martial arts always has been about peace, and it always will be.

Can my child get injured with Martial Arts?
As a parent, I'm sure you've seen that kids can get injured doing just about anything. Martial arts is no different, however we take safety very seriously here. Yes, injuries do sometimes happen. But we do everything in our power to avoid them. We do special exercises and stretches to make your child's body limber and flexible.

My child isn't athletic. Can they still participate in Martial Arts if
they're not athletic?
Absolutely. Martial Arts teaches kids to be coordinated, flexible and strong. Kids who don't naturally have these qualities develop them. Kids who do have these qualities grow them even more.

Are these Martial Arts classes fun?
Yes! After all, these are children we're dealing with here. And kids love their fun. We do a variety of games and activities that have kids howling with laughter, and constantly smiling. We work hard here - but we play just as hard.

Family Martial Arts

Q: Does martial arts make kids violent?
A: Not at all. Martial arts is all about peace, harmony, and composure. It teaches both kids and adults how to avoid fights, de-escalate a situation, and defend yourself if necessary, but never to start fights.
Q: Do people get injured in class?
A: Sometimes. But the truth is, injuries are very rare here. We have a lot of measures in place to keep your whole family safe. In fact, safety is our #1 concern.
Q: Can we participate in family martial arts if we’re not fit or experienced?
A: You bet. In fact, martial arts is like a beacon of light for kids who just don't fit into team sports and for adults who feel intimated at a gym. Kids who could never throw a ball well or run fast find that martial arts is very welcoming and they feel a sense of belonging. It's something your whole family can excel at and, as a result, your confidence will soar.
Q: Is it hard to learn martial arts and do the techniques?
A: Martial arts can be challenging at times, especially when we focus and concentrate intently... but we always balance it out with fun and games to keep everything upbeat and exciting. Students have a blast here and there's a lot of smiles, happiness, and high fives in every class.
